spring bugs - clutter bugs that is....

i have a few minutes, well not really, but wanted to get an entry in since i really have not been the best blogger since i started this thing.

spring is in the air and i really need to do some spring cleaning. i feel like this every year. spring is the time of year is when i feel like i need to make my 'new year's resolutions' - only 3 months behind the rest of the western world. but then again, what else is new? am i on time with anything else in my life? not really unless it is work related (or birthing babies), then i'm usually on top of it, well most of the time (sorry dad about not getting your proposals done...)

there is something about spring - clean, fresh, renewal... that makes me want a fresh start - a clean slate. anyway, i was poking around on the oprah website and read about her army of bugs - clutter bugs. boy, could i sure use her clutter bugs here. but there is a snowball's chance in sw florida that i would EVER get a visit from anyone from the oprah show. so, i must forge ahead and do it myself. so, i'm going to post photos for the entire www to see. my mess, my clutter, my shame. THEN i will post the after and show my lack of clutter. at least that is my intention. i've always dreamed of having one of those homes that looks like a model home - everything in its place, nothing askew. but then those model homes are not really homes, they are models and real families do not live there, especially families with two little kiddos. but none-the-less, i want to strive for less clutter, less mess and and LESS STRESS!!! because, i tell you what, this mess is causing me stress!!!

so, without further a do, here is my mess. starting with my cozy studio office. i have a rocking space that my dad and scott did for me. one year ago, they put in a new wood floor and some awesome cabinets. a year later i'm still trying to get organized! how sad is that?!?! but no more. give me a couple of weeks and this place will look like one of those studios in the magazines (i hope anyway!)

well, that does it for me for this posting as i my eyes are starting to blur. i think my starbucks iced coffee is finally starting to wear off. it's only 2am. i really should be in bed sleeping!!! so, beauty rest is calling my name and blogging stops. the decluttering will begin soon (i hope)!!!
